Ferny Grove had a narrow victory over The Gap State High School winning by just 49 points. Earlier in the day just a few points separated the two schools and it looked as if Ferny Grove High might lose the district sports title for the first time.

Fortunately, our students stepped in to fill gaps in events and many individuals entered  events in which they did not traditionally  compete. Sprinters ran distance events to ensure all starting positions were filled and the narrow victory that we enjoyed is in no small measure due to the wonderful spirit of our students.
