The school has a uniform chosen by the Parents and Citizens Association and students are required to present neatly and wear the full school uniform daily.
Personal Presentation Requirements
The only permitted jewellery is one watch, one signet ring, one religious cross worn discreetly (ie unable to be seen). Students may wear one, or a pair of, plain gold or silver sleepers or studs. One earring only in each ear is permissible. No other visible body piercing is allowed, such as nose, chin, eyebrow or tongue studs or rings (including clear plastic ones). No make-up, including nail polish, is to be worn. Hair should be neat and tidy. Hair ribbons, if worn, should be dark green. Students are expected to avoid extreme hairstyles. Boys should be clean-shaven, ie no beards, moustaches or side-burns.
Uniform Requirements
Students are expected to wear full school uniform to and from school every day, and in classrooms at all times.
All items of clothing etc. should be marked with the owner's name to facilitate return of lost property.
Students are encouraged to wear a school hat or cap available from the Uniform Shop at the school. No other hats, caps etc are to be worn unless they are totally plain, bottle green.
Uniforms, including caps, will be on sale AT THE SCHOOL at the Uniform shop during the last two weeks of the school year and the week before school starts next year, and thereafter on school days (approximately 8:15am to 9:15am). Actual times for December and January will be notified when stationery lists are distributed.
Sports shorts and tops, blazers, school jumpers, socks, back packs and school badges may also be purchased here. Uniform shop telephone number is 3550 5767 – only available when open.
Students must wear formal uniform to and from school. Sports Uniform is only to be worn in PE lessons and sport.
The arrangements for changing into sports uniform for PE lessons or sport are as follows:
· Students change into the sports uniform just before the PE lessons begins, that is before school, at morning tea, at the start of period 3 or lunchtime. They change back into full school uniform as soon as the PE lesson is finished.
· Students must wear leather shoes until they arrive at the hall for PE and then change back into leather shoes before they leave the hall.
· Students, who wish to, may use the Amenities Block as changerooms at the end of period 2 or the start of period 3.
· Girls may wear the school blouse over their sports top in periods 2 or 3 if they have PE in one of those lessons.
The material to be used is as follows:
1. Charles Parsons 65% polyester, 35% viscose lustalene is the bottle green fabric for the girls' skirts.
2. Truetex polyester cotton blend with a permanent non-iron finish is the peppermint green fabric for boys’ shirts and girls’ blouses.
3. Defab Borderex 2/1 gaberdine (65% polyester, 25% viscose) is the bottle green fabric for boys’ shorts and trousers.

FREE DRESS DAYS

Free Dress Days are usually held once per semester. On these days, students must remember to bring leather shoes to wear in laboratories, workshops and food preparation areas, gym shoes to wear at PE lessons and any other necessary items of clothing for practical subject areas. Students are not to wear thongs or scuffs, tank tops, make-up or immodest clothing, such as singlet or cropped tops, on these days. For health and safety reasons, footwear needs to be closed-in shoes, covering toes and heels
