Our recommended device is a Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 laptop as the operating system will provide maximum compatibility with school applications.
Do not purchase Microsoft Office for BYOD as it is available FREE for EQ students. Refer to
BYOD Software Applications
for details.
Students who opt for an Apple Mac - depending on subject requirements - may still need to run Windows programs. Running Windows applications on a Mac will require extra software (for example Parallels or VMware Fusion) which require additional purchase by parents.
Purchase the maximum warranty available, and Accidental Damage Protection insurance if your budget allows.
