Student services and support programs

Ferny Grove State High School students have access to a full range of support services including Guidance Counsellors,  Form Class Teachers, School Chaplain, Defence Transition Mentor, Youth Support Coordinator, Social Worker and Youth Health Nurse.

In addition, Year Coordinators, Form Teachers and Deputy Principals provide consistent leadership and support for their cohorts for the duration of their schooling.

Our Defence School Mentor assists defence families new to the school.

Guidance Officers help students and families with counselling, behaviour management, career development and more.

Peer Mediators

​​​Our school Peer Mediator program is not currently active.

Social Worker

A School Social Worker will focus on the student in the school environment and will work holistically with the whole family to minimise the impacts of personal, familial and school difficulties and, where possible, remove the barriers to learning.

Year Coordinators

To assist all students, each year level has its own Year Coordinator.

Youth Health Nurse

Our Youth Health Nurse is available for individual consultations with students, parents, carers and staff.
