Ferny Grove High School has 2 food venues – X Block Senior Café and Eats at the Grove Canteen. With our fantastic commercial kitchen, catering equipment and trained professional staff we provide healthy, nutritious and innovative foods and drinks to students, staff and visitors.
All the profits generated by these enterprises are directed back to the school via the P&C to improve educational outcomes for our students.
Ordering
Pre-ordering is only available under special circumstances and in consultation with the Manager.
If you have any special dietary requirements (gluten free, vegetarian or vegan), our friendly staff are more than happy to offer guidance as to what choices are available. If you have food allergies, we recommend you pre-order between 8-9 am.
Please review our daily menu. We offer a selection of our menu items as well as daily and seasonal specials.
Both the Cafe and the Canteen proudly serve Merlo Coffee.
Payment can be made by the following methods:
Café and Canteen: EFTPOS with a minimum purchase amount of $2.00. Please note that we do not offer “cash out". As per school policy phones are not allowed to be used during school time. Therefore, we are unable to accept EFTPOS transactions via phone after the start of the school day ie 9am.
Canteen only: Student ID cards linked to a Flexischools account Flexischools student ID payment system is a convenient, fast and secure payment for canteen purchases.

X Block Senior Café
The Café provides a catering service to our Year 10 to 12s. It's not only a valuable learning space, it's an amazing eating and meeting place with its relaxed and open feel. Our Senior Cafe is located on the ground floor of X Block. The café provides a stylish and modern area with a calm atmosphere where students can gather with friends or sit and study outside of the classroom.
The Café is used as a real-life work experience venue within our school community in collaboration with the P&C and school teaching staff.
The café offers EFTPOS as the only method of payment.

Canteen
The Canteen is available for all members of the school community.
The Canteen is located in E Block behind the canteen (facing B Block). The Canteen is a hive of activity where students can purchase food and drinks to take back to their year level areas.
