Ferny Grove State High School has an excellent reputation in the wider community for the achievement of outstanding results across academic, cultural, sporting and citizenship endeavours. We consistently attain academic results that place our students among the best in Queensland. Strong foundations in literacy and numeracy are key pillars within all subject studies.
In 2020, 99% of graduating students exited with a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA). Four percent of graduating students received a Certificate I qualification, 42% received a Certificate II qualification, 44% received a Certificate III qualification and four students received a Certificate IV qualification. In relation to post-school destinations, 93% of the cohort immediately engaged in further education, training or employment after graduation.
In 2021, the Year 12 cohort again achieved outstanding results with 99.6% of students graduating with either the QCE or the QCIA. Four percent of graduating students received a Certificate I qualification, 35% received a Certificate II qualification, 44% received a Certificate III qualification and six students received a Certificate IV qualification. We also recognise and congratulate the 56 Year 12 students who completed or are completing a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship.
ATAR eligible students achieved the following outstanding results:
- Two students achieved an ATAR between 99.50 and 99.95
- 25% of students received an ATAR between 91.50 and 99.95
- 79% of students received an ATAR between 65.50 and 99.95.
