3. Preparing a New BYO Device

​​​To access to the school network each device needs to be enrolled into Microsoft Intune which enables the management of your device whilst at school.  To allow the device to enrol, there are a number of requirements needed depending upon the device you plan to use at school.

 

Microsoft Windows Requirements

  1. You will need to have your school email address and password.
  2. Your computer must support 5Ghz WiFi.
  3. Your computer operating system must be Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  4. Windows Devices must not be in S Mode.  Visit Switching out of S mode in Windows External link (microsoft.com) for details.​
  5. Your local account on your personal computer must have Administrator rights.  For further information please refer to the troubleshooting page.
  6. Your computer must be connected to the Internet.

 

Apple Mac Requirements

  1. You will need to have your school email address and password.
  2. Your operating system must be MacOS version 13 or later.
  3. Your local account on your Apple Mac computer must have Administrator rights.
  4. Your computer must be connected to the Internet.


Apple iPad Requirements

  1. You will need to have your school email address and password.
  2. Your iPad must be running iPadOS version 15 or later.
  3. Your iPad must be connected to the Internet.
