The department's bring your own device (BYOx) technical service, BYOx Link, allows students to securely access the IT network, school email and online applications on their own devices. It provides seamless access to digital learning resources between school and home.
The department has selected Microsoft Intune as its mobile device management (MDM) tool. The 1-to-1 devices in schools that use BYOx Link need to enrol into the Microsoft Intune Company Portal (Intune). Intune allows the department to distribute a wireless network profile and curriculum related applications to student's BYO devices.
School staff can only access school information through Intune and cannot:
- see personal information
- monitor what happens on the device
- track or locate the device
- see information on installed personal applications (other than school applications)
- uninstall applications, including personal ones.
Below are Intune installation guides for Windows, iOS and Macintosh devices. We ask that parents and carers enrol devices at home or, if needed, you can enrol at school using the guest Wi-Fi service, EQGUEST.
If you have any questions or issues enrolling devices, please refer to our troubleshooting page.
Microsoft Windows
Apple Mac
